Established in 1990, Decatur’s premier commercial recycling facility processes approximately 4,000 tons of material per month. This 75,000-square-foot hub specializes in industrial plastics recycling, serving the entire City of Decatur. As a centralized recycling center, it plays a crucial role in managing and reducing plastic waste, contributing significantly to the city’s sustainability efforts.
How to Recycle
The decisions we make when placing items in the recycling bin have a big impact. Recycling right helps processors recover more resources from the waste stream, and depositing the wrong items has the opposite effect. We have compiled resources, from how-tos to useful links, to help navigate all the information about recycling right. rnrn
